Iván grew up between dental chairs, learning early that a healthy smile changes the way a person shows up in the world. That calling led him to train as a dental surgeon at the Universidad Americana (UAM) in Managua, adding academic rigor to the instinct he inherited.
With that double heritage —tradition and science— he decided to bring his family's dentistry to the Pacific coast. That's how Bayside Dental was born in San Juan del Sur: a general dentistry clinic blending the Jiménez legacy with modern dental technology. Today Iván leads it as CEO and personally handles every case, from a routine cleaning to the most complex treatments.

I have a dental emergency — can you see me today?

Can you fix a broken tooth, lost filling or crown before my flight?
In most cases yes. Fillings, temporary and definitive crowns, re-cementing a crown and emergency repairs can usually be done in one or two visits. Message us with a photo and your travel dates and we'll tell you honestly what's realistic before you leave — and what should wait until you're home.
What are your hygiene and sterilization standards?
Every instrument is sterilized between patients, and we use single-use disposables wherever they exist. You're welcome to ask us to walk you through our sterilization process when you arrive — we'd rather show you than have you wonder.
What does a visit cost, and how do you handle payment?
Your first visit includes an evaluation and a treatment plan explained clearly. You get a written quote itemizing every procedure before any treatment begins — no work starts until you know the full cost. Do you offer braces or clear aligners?
Yes, we provide orthodontic treatment with braces and clear aligners. Dr. Iván Jiménez is a general dental surgeon; when a case calls for specialist management we'll tell you directly and refer you.
Do I need an appointment, and how do I book?
Booking ahead is best so we can reserve full time for you. The fastest way is WhatsApp — we usually reply the same day during clinic hours. Walk-ins are welcome for emergencies.
